Yolanda Lannquist

Yolanda leads AI governance & policy projects at TFS with the mission to align AI through better governance. She directs projects with international organizations, governments, companies, academia and nonprofits focused on mitigating harms to uphold safety and fundamental values. Yolanda is appointed to the OECD AI Policy Observatory’s expert group on Implementing Trustworthy AI (ONE TAI), UN Broadband Commission Working Group on AI Capacity Building, and taught AI policy at IE University in Madrid. In 2020-2022, Yolanda led the Responsible AI for Development program including three National AI Strategies with GIZ and government partners in Rwanda, Tunisia, and Ghana focused on sustainable and inclusive development.

Yolanda has a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and Bachelors degrees in Economics and European Studies from Columbia University with Phi Beta Kappa honors. Yolanda previously advised Fortune 500 multinationals on machine learning, innovation and market entry strategy as a business strategy consultant in Copenhagen. She also worked on digital trade and regulation at the U.S. Embassy in Paris and on global human capital research at The Conference Board in New York. Yolanda is Turkish-American and is based in San Francisco.
