The Future Society shared expertise on AI governance at the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI) opening conference on AI Ethics, Policy, and Governance. The Law & Society Initiative’s Chair Nicolas Economou discussed key implications in the use of AI in legal systems on the panel ‘Fairness of AI in the Provision of Legal Services’. The Future Society’s advisor Jessica Cussins Newman spoke on the global governance of AI and shared a framework to support comparative AI policy analysis, addressing neglected areas globally including disinformation, surveillance, and inequality.
