Suzanne Bays

Ms. Bays has held leadership positions at PwC, Gartner, Oracle, Microsoft, and Trapeze Group, where she led teams and projects that optimized enterprise processes in Sales, Operations, Finance and IT, introducing ERP, CRM, cyber security and B2B e-commerce technologies and best practices. In many cases the business units that Ms. Bays led were the entrepreneurial start-ups that became the catalysts for the broad marketplace adoption of the technologies that form the foundations of today’s corporate enterprise platforms.  She has also run her own consultancy business since 2009, advising key public companies and governments in the areas of technology strategy and implementation effectiveness.  Ms. Bays’ experience is global in nature as she has successfully led teams and managed projects across North America (Canada and the United States), Europe (United Kingdom, Italy and Switzerland), Asia (Japan and South Korea) and the Caribbean.

Suzanne was a Board member of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation from 2013 – 2017.  She served as the Chair, Governance & Nominating Committee as well as a member of the Audit, Finance and Investments Committee.  She was also a key advisor on the Board initiative to restructure the Foundation and change the governance model.  Since 2017, she has been the Co-Chair of the Strategy Committee of the Canadian Cancer Society as well as a Member of the Governance Committee.  She is also on the Advisory Board of Canadian Athletes Now (CANFund) to raise money for Canadian Olympians.

Suzanne holds a BA in History and Economics from the University of British Columbia, and an MBA in Finance in Industrial Relations from the Ivey School of Business, Western University.  She has augmented her career with lifelong learning, having achieved designations as a certified Board Member (ICD.D), Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and Certified Change Management Consultant (CCMC).  During 2019, she took a sabbatical from work and was accepted as a Fellow in Harvard’s Advanced Leadership Initiative, a year long, full-time immersive program designed to leverage and enhance the skills of highly accomplished leaders to tackle some of the world’s most complex problems.
