Marta Ziosi has interned at The Future Society as an AI policy Researcher. She focuses on the AI Civic Forum, a civic participation platform building understanding of AI ethics and including citizen voices in the discussions around the responsible adoption of AI.
Before joining The Future Society, Marta worked as a Trainee at the European Commission on AI Policy. She also assisted research on Computational Creativity at University College Dublin and taught Philosophy of Science at University College Maastricht. Her interests lie in interdisciplinary approaches to Machine Learning and in the mutual influence which AI and Society exercise on each other. She is the co-founder of AI for People, a non-profit research organization which promotes the use of AI based on human and societal needs.
Marta holds a BSc in Mathematics and Philosophy from University College Maastricht, a MSc in Philosophy and Public Policy from The London School of Economics and an Executive Degree in Chinese Language and Culture for Business from the same University. She spent a semester abroad at UC Berkeley, where her interest for topics at the crossroad of technology and policy developed further.
