Committed to attracting, developing and advancing underrepresented groups in the workplace for more than ten years, George-Axelle Broussillon-Matschinga is the Head of Diversity & Inclusion at Sunrun. There, she is responsible for design, strategic direction, implementation and business alignment ofSunrun’s Diversity and Inclusion initiatives through Talent (Human Resources), Communications and Public Policy. She leads the company’s efforts to make solar inclusive and shapes its ability to build diverse teams, sustain inclusive work environments and provide affordable home solar solutions for everyone.

Before joining Sunrun, George-Axelle was an International Diversity Expert, advising Fortune 500 companies on how to advance their D&I agenda. One of the first Diversity practitioners in France, she started her career at L’Oréal and co-designed the group’s inaugural Global Diversity policy and strategies aiming at fostering creativity and innovation to reach one billion new consumers. There, she led cutting- edge initiatives both in Europe and in the United States, such as L’Oréal’s first Diversity Career Fairs, Scorecard and Report, and L’Oréal USA’s first Leadership forum for female executives. Known for her entrepreneurial spirit and strong ability to mobilize and partner with a wide range of stakeholders across sectors at global level, she also contributed to the writing of the first Company Parent-Friendly Charter in France, and to the design of two global gender equality certifications: EDGE and GE-ES. A thought leader, she initiated and co-wrote the first Encyclopedia of Diversity Management in France, and authored several articles. She regularly speaks in conferences and on media worldwide.

A graduate from Harvard University and ESCP Europe Business School, she served as the elected Vice-President of Diversity of Harvard Kennedy School’s Student Government in 2016. She also holds a Master’sDegree in HR, Communication and Negotiation from CELSA – Sorbonne University, and bachelors inSociology and in Philosophy. Member of “Le Club du 21ème Siècle”, she is a passionate and committed mentor for students from all backgrounds.
