Ajit conducts a course at Oxford University on “Data Science for Internet of Things”. His work is based on Time series and AI (LSTMs etc) and he has worked as a Data Scientist in IoT, Molecular Biology and fintech domains Ajit’s current area of research also extends to the social aspects of AI relating to reskilling the workforce for new AI skills (including soft skills). Ajit was recently (Oct 2017) listed in the list of top 30 influencers for IoT for 2017 along with Amazon Bosch Cisco Forrester and Gartner by the German insurance company Munich Re. In 2009, Ajit was nominated to the World Economic Forum’s ‘Future of the Internet’ council. In 2016 he was involved in a WEF council for systemic risk (IoT, drones etc.). He has worked with cities like Amsterdam and Liverpool on Smart City projects in mayoral level advisory roles. Ajit has been invited to speak at Mobile World Congress (4 times), CTIA, CEBIT, Web 2.0 expo, The European Parliament, Stanford University, MIT Sloan, Fraunhofer FOKUS; University of St Gallen.
