March 23, 2019
Geneva, Switzerland

Sacha Alanoca participated in the first AI Governance Forum organized in Geneva last 23rd of March by the AI Transparency Institute. She represented The Future Society to speak about trustworthy AI systems and shared business and policy recommendations such as auditing AI systems and building robust data governance models.

Sacha also emphasized the necessity to research the double impact of cognitive bias (such as dark patterns) and algorithmic recommendations on our free will and ability for informed decision-making.
Other relevant speakers included Raja Chatila (Professor at Pierre and Marie Curie University, member of IEEE and of the European Commission’s High-Level Expert Group on AI), Joanna Bryson (Assistant Professor at the University of Bath and member of IEEE), and Karine Perset (Economist at the OECD and AIGO member).
