CitX plenary meeting in Paris

March 15, 2014

The meeting brought together an interdisciplinary group of twenty global thinkers who met over two days to debate the issues and opportunities arising from the massive urbanization wave our planet is going through, especially in the emerging and developing world. Urbanist-architects, academics, former Mayors, elected officials, and industry representatives also joined the meeting to inform the discussions. The group had a working-dinner with Ms. Fleur Pellerin, France’s Minister for Innovation and the Digital Economy. As an outcome of the meeting, CitX decided to explore cooperation with Mayors grappling with urbanization challenges around the world, to define, design and deploy a limited set of pilot projects & collaborations on inclusive and sustainable urban development harnessing the power of innovation and technology.
